Another day, another moose

Another day.

Today I worked in a different part of my department. Actually I worked out of my department but in a related field.

Never say that Public Health is boring. Except for Grad School. That was excrutiating.

So when I was at my regular desk our wonderful best clerical person ever started talking about cows and how her cow got its head stuck in some farm machinery. For some reason, that got us talking about moose. When I lived in Alaska we had moose in the yard. So I copied some pictures for her.

This is a moose, obviously, standing in my old back yard. She is probably looking for the dogs to come chasing her. She had a light colored hump and was very mellow. Our moose never chased us and never cared if the dogs came out barking. Well, the dogs usually ran up and realized it was a really big mammal and ran away.

I continue to work on my Great American Afghan. I tried to take some good pictures but the colors aren't true. I don't know what to do about that.

But here is one of the squares. It was a hard one. It was entrelac. I didn't know where I was going with it. And I did it in dark purple so the design hardly shows up in real life.

I am going to work a little harder to get some better pictures.

My sister sent me a recipe for White Chocolate Chunk Cookies. A la Martha Stewart. We are making them when she comes to visit. We are also doing a yarn/quilt crawl.

Can't wait.
